Description
A thyroid function test (TFT) is a blood test that measures the levels of thyroid hormones in the blood to assess how well the thyroid is working: Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH): A hormone from the pituitary gland that controls the production of thyroid hormones. High levels of TSH indicate an underactive thyroid, while low levels indicate an overactive thyroid. Thyroxine (T4): The main thyroid hormone in the blood. Triiodothyronine (T3): The active form of the thyroid hormone. A doctor may also order other tests, such as an ultrasound or a scan using radioactive iodine or technetium, to help determine the cause of thyroid issues Best Pathology in Moshi Best pathology in pcmc Best Laboratory in Moshi Pathology in Moshi Laboratory in Moshi Thyroid tests (TFT) , TSH Free TFT (FT3, FT4, ULTRA TSH)
